Some things that have actually had an effect include altering my diet to include more good foods, washing my face only once per day, and keeping tabs on my stress level, as when my hormones rage, so does my acne. I make sure to wash my whole face including ears and eyebrows on occasion, as skipping these areas is neglecting where bacteria can lie.

When it comes to the diet factor, I don’t saturate my food choices with fruits and vegetables, I just attempt to eat a little better by lessening the amount of high-calorie, low-quality foods I eat. I also cut back on soda, and this has a positive effect on my acne.

As for stress, I engage in more calm and relaxing activities to lower my acne. Not freaking out works better than toothpaste on my face every time, and then I have one less thing to stress about – my acne!

I have been using one major mineral powder makeup for over a year now.  I don’t have the auto ship option, I find my product at Sephora and buy only what I want (or need) there.  I have to say that it does a great job of staying on all day long.  It also is the best at providing sunblock which is important to me as I drive a convertible.  Also as my skin runs on the oily side, the mineral powder seems to keep breakouts to a minimum.  It also covers breakouts better than normal wet foundation makeup.

For me, it’s worth the added price.  I have tried some lesser brands and not found them to be anywhere near the quality so urge that you go with one of the original names in the mineral powder makeup field.
